German artist Luka Fineisen created this fun installation in 2010 titled Bubbles– its nothing but enormous, delicate bubbles scattered about the room, made of unpoppable plastic for a delightful effect. Each bubble rises from the ground as if it had just gracefully landed from a giant bubble wand:

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to go from Luka’s website (there was only a PDF aggregating all her works) but the piece perfectly captures my childhood dream of being able to study giant bubbles up close without them bursting in my face. This would be a fun floor display for a retail space, methinks.
