Letterheady is my new favorite blog, which is run by Shaun Usher (the same guy who runs the also amazing Letters of Note.) Just page after page of famous and fabulous letterhead designs from over the years, with a vast range of styles and owners, as “an online homage to offline correspondence.”

The first one that particularly caught my eye was this marvelous letterhead for Chung Ling Soo (an American performer who posed as a Chinese magician in Europe):

The magnificent 1915 letterhead of Chung Ling Soo, a magician who, in 1918, died after his “bullet catch” trick went tragically wrong on stage.

I sometimes wish we were still in an age where people had custom, personalized letterheads that were meant to represent them in written communication. Somehow, Facebook Timeline isn’t quite the same. [Via designworklife.]
