I wish there were more photos of this Gray Label kite– its a denim kite in the shape of a rather elaborate pirate ship, and it looks stunning. The threads and rudder are in bright red, while the rest of the kite is in denim and what looks like bamboo. From the Gray Label blog:
During my holiday in Bali I was walking on the beach and saw the most amazing kites flying around…. they were in the form of PIRATE SHIPS. After some asking around I found out the kites are made by a father called Mâdé and his 2 sons.
I got into contact with them and immediately placed orders to have these cool kites custom made in our Gray Label denim colour. They are unique and made with love by Mâdé…. for a perfect beach day!
Actually, a lot of the pieces from the Gray Label website look fantastic– it’s a children’s clothing shop that features “organic apparel for the little minimalist,” which sounds like a wonderful idea. Their mission:
We like simplicity in a world where there are already too many bright colours, ‘cute’ teddies and busy prints on shirts. Focusing instead on colours and designs that would even make grown-ups a bit envious.
