Kidrobot released a new set of vinyl collectible toys this month called “Best Friends Forever“, designed by Travis Cain: each toy is a devastatingly cute pair of friends doomed to fail, such as a cheese with its grater.
This is actually the second series of Best Friends Forever– the first set that Travis designed for Kidrobot in 2009 already sold out, so get these while you can! From the Kidrobot website:

These perfectly paired BFFs include Sprinkles + Eddie (a cupcake and fork), Tiny + Steve (a bomb and match), Jordan + Spike (a sneaker and nail) and more! It just goes to show that opposites really do attract.
I’ve amassed quite a personal collection of Labbits, Munnys, Dunnys, and various other vinyl toys from my boyfriend’s fascination with Kidrobot, so I’m excited to go down to the Kidrobot store in Soho this week to see these in person. They look adorable and painful all at the same time– here’s to hoping I can score the cheese/grater combo in one of the blind boxes!
