Packaging design should always be so simple: the main focus of these hosiery designs for Nordstrom’s new packaging is legs, legs, and legs, with a dash of clever & bold typography to draw you in. The amazing Turnstyle designed this with a light-hearted attitude in mind:

Nordstrom asked us to help them redesign the packaging for their signature line of hosiery. We developed a new look that combines a sense of fashion, attitude and sass through playful photography and interpretive typography.

After I realized that the look of the type actually describes the style of the hosiery, I went back and scrutinized the details of the letters again. That second look could be the make-or-break decision for a girl looking for new tights, which is exactly what you want from good design. [Via Lovely Package.]
