What a wonderful idea— fashion blogger Sera Hur paired these haunting covers of Haruki Murakami‘s bestselling books with a corresponding photo from the street fashion photographer, The Sartorialist. The original covers were designed by John Gall, and the matched photos are meant to mirror the colors, tones, and moods of the book. [Via Flavorwire.]

I’d love to see more of this type of work in the blogging world– literature, design, and fashion have never been far from each other, and seeing strands of similarities across different genres and mediums is a great way of predicting/interpreting aesthetic trends. How lovely!
