Wedding photographer Jason Lee started a blog to record moments with his two adorable daughters, and his creative photographs have gotten featured on the web for being so wonderfully clever. Every photo is beautifully edited, the costuming and set-up is always cute, and best of all, the shots always capture the playful essence of childhood:
Most of the ideas come from the girls, from observing them play, or hearing the funny and outrageous things they say. Their day to day life also plays a big role for my inspiration.
After coming up with an idea, I then ‘set up’ the scene, and often use artificial lighting to enhance the images. It helps to plan out the shoot before hand, so at most, I only have them in the shoot for a minute or two. [Via My Modern Metropolis.]
These girls are going to look back on their childhood and see pictures that came right out of their own imaginations– what a great way to save memories and enjoy yourselves as a family too! It seems like something kids would want to do, as in “Daddy, lets take photos together!” (Plus, its a far cry from the poorly shot, awkwardly angled Myspace photos of our teenage years. These kids are going to have high standards for their profile pictures on any social media site…)
