Jason Schmidt photographed model Denisa Dvorakova amidst a slew of ballerinas for the February 2011 edition of Vogue Russia– and this is one editorial where the extras overpower the model herself, with their graceful and exquisite poses.

The shoot emphasizes the sharp contrasts between colors and form in the difference between the model and the extras, and the entire spread is phenomenally eye-catching with its backdrop of ballerinas which offsets the darkly beautiful Dvorakova. [Via Zombie & Candy.]

My favorite image out of this set is the last one, where the ballerinas almost look like a human wallpaper in their identical poses, while Dvorakova elegantly stands in the forefront of the photo. Beautiful.
